The virtual talks we have had in the Hands-On Local History project have covered a variety of topics and have been well ‘attended’.

The next one on Tuesday 30 November at  7 pm  by Nick Saunders is on: RESEARCHING NEWSPAPERS FOR LOCAL HISTORY.

Nick is an active local historian and a regular contributor to newspapers.

The link for logging on is below and participation is free of charge.

As you may know, videos of all the previous Hands-On talks can be viewed free of charge on the Field Club YouTube channel (www.hantsfieldclub.org.uk). They include valuable information on a wide variety of subjects, including: self-publishing, the Poor Law, making films and film and sound archives, the New VCH, the Hampshire magistracy, Alresford history, and local history archives.

We look forward to your participation free of charge in the session on RESEARCHING NEWSPAPERS FOR LOCAL HISTORY. As usual, it would be helpful, but not essential, to know whether you intend to log on.
